The activity is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives of Khushhali Microfinance Bank. As a CSR initiative, Khushhali Mircofinance Bank provided uniforms for the security staff of F-9 park. Khushhali Microfinance Bank collaborated with WWF-Pakistan and Capital Development Authority, Islamabad, on the enhancement initiatives for Fatima Jinnah Park/ F-9 Park. Located in the heart of the capital, F-9 park holds recognition as the largest recreational area in the locality. The park is covered by greenery and provides a sanctuary to the wildlife in the bustling cosmopolitan city.

Khushhali Microfinance Bank extended a sponsorship to support the education of six students of The Hunar Foundation enrolled at the Delhi Mercantile Institute, Karachi. The sponsorship will cover entire tuition fee of the students for one academic year. This sponsorship follows in line the bank’s objective to provide skill development opportunities to the youth under the umbrella of its CSR initiatives.

PROMOTING AGRICULTURE THROUGH FARMERS' TRAINING ON RICE CROP AT SARGODHA

In extension of Khushhali Microfinance Bank’s (KMBL) CSR initiative to educate farmers on effective and the latest farming techniques, a quarterly training session on rice crops was organized in Sargodha on October 11, 2017. Held by KMBL’s Sargodha branch, the session was conducted by Mohammad Ramzan, a rice expert from the Rice Research Institute in Kala Shah Kaku.

In attendance were more than 170 farmers from the local community, who learnt about pesticides, fertilizers, types of seeds, and sowing techniques. The session was free for all attendees.

Continuing their journey for a greener Pakistan, Khushhali Microfinance Bank (KMBL) and WWF-Pakistan have collaborated once again to plant at least 2,000 indigenous trees as part of the second round of WWF-Pakistan’s Tree-A-Thon Activity. This association is one of its kind where both organizations are committed to raising awareness about the importance of trees and regular plantation among their employees as well as delivering a message to a wider audience regarding the importance of environment conservation and Khushhali bank’s commitment to the cause.
